d9b0b13ade All ContentService methods all use read-only transactions. 
The write streams are closed outside of the call to the service, so these will depend on the outer transaction's read/write state.
The ContentHitsAspect was firing in-transaction.  This now queues the count increment to processing after the transaction completes.

32d169b99b AVMLockingService is better tested now. Added isAdminAuthority() to 
AuthorityService.  Can be removed if this is objectionable.

67b28f6d36 Point checkin. 
Added APIs for link validation of links in staging and fetching 
the results.   Still only mocking things up by using HEAD 
(rather than last snapshot), not doing incremental updates yet,
and ignoring the multi-threading arg to the update.   However,
you can poll for progress via UpdateHrefInfoStatus & the APIs
for checking link status are probably usable as-is for some
GUI integration work.  More to come.

21742933ec Adds some convenience methods to AttributeService. 
Namely two flavors each of addAttributes, for adding attributes to lists,
and setAttributes for adding entries to maps.

e0bfdca5ea Fixed failing ML tests 
- These worked on the branch a flaw showed up on HEAD
 - Moved ContentReader spoofing up into FileFolderService and ContentService using an interceptor.
Fixed bug when attempting to delete an archived item that was ML.

ec07d35a23 Point checkin. 
Prep for delivering LinkValidationServcice API;
Ignore the API for now (it will evolve rapidly 
over the next few days).  The main thing going
on here is that now the Spring wiring is basically
right for presenting things as services & controlling
transaction boundaries.  It's also possible to run
this outside of the Alfresco webapp, which makes
incremental compilation/testing much easier.

072d642d65 Alfresco -> Alfresco deployment is smarter. 
- The source store is implicitly snapshotted before deployment begins.
- The destination (remote) store is implicitly snapshotted before deployment begins
  and again when the deployment is finished.
- This means that comparison of GUIDs on directories can be used to short circuit
  the tree comparison.

c55d48a3e7 Smarten up deployment to filesystem. 
- Deploying to a filesystem implicitly snapshots the source store. 
  This allows shortcutting the tree comparison for directories, because
  guids on directories act as a deep modification indicator if deployments 
  are always from snapshots.  Doh!
- I'll do this for alfresco -> alfresco deployment too.

d3aae2a9b7 ListAttribute seems to be mostly working, though I had to tweak hibernate-cfg.properties to 
make it suck back generated primary keys.
Restructured ListEntry so that most most gets are via Session.get() rather than by query.
Added new methods to AttributeService to handle ListAttribute specific operations.
Added a little more testing for AttributeService.
I'm praying that the build will be repaired, since my efforts having been doing
so much lately.

29e3335cad Added a cross repository copy service. It has a single method copy, which does a recursive 
copy of the source node into the destination node. This is a checkpoint; only AVM to AVM and
Repo to AVM work so far.

3e6468bd02 Added RetryingTransactionAdvice and wired it up for AVMService. The tests pass 
and the app still works. 
Added new convenience target to common.xml, run-junit. It syntactically like 
run-test but doesn't use the junit ant task, which has the unfortunate characteristic
of buffering stdout and stderr in memory.  This may be fine in many cases but wreaks
havoc with memory use if you're test spews lots of diagnostics.

b209f4c073 Exported AuthenticationService via RMI. Insecure for now but we can switch over 
to using SSL when needed.  Restructured exports of AVM specific apis to authenticate
remotely and pass the ticket with each remote service call.  These required some changes
to jndi-client and even to the web-client which uses the AVM remote interface within
the Alfresco server.  Oh, the point of this is that since I'm writing some CLTs, I might
as well do them correctly; we'll need the option of security sooner rather than later.

b2f9df29d1 Humongous merge. It is incomplete, however; faces-config-navigation.xml and ClientConfigElement 
were both beyond me, and are just the raw conflict merge data.  If Kev can't figure out how they should
go together by tomorrow AM (for me) I'll dig back in.

0fc71b8d68 Checkpoint of WCM workflow package support. 
Setting titled and uifacets via AVMService instead of through
AVMNodeService.  1000 file import takes ~5 minutes.  Awful but better 
than before.

90d171b913 Moved dangerous helper methods out of AVMService. 
Reworked handling of path lookup failures to not throw exceptions
internally, to improve performance of certain layered directory
operations.  Unfortunately there remains at least one scenario,
handling of bulk loads, and promotions of deeply nested directories in
layered contexts, in which performance is considerably less than
ideal. 

Made AVMService.createBranch() and AVMSyncService.update() perform
implicit snapshots of source tree's stores before proceeding.

a06fc74aef The outside hooks for AVMSyncService are in place and the implementation 
of the simplest method, resetLayer is done.
Also fixed goofy merge induced bug in DbNodeServiceImpl.
Can we make merging a punishment for naughty Alfrescans?
