Ariel Backenroth 0091556e8d fixing up links in sample website so that there should be much fewer 404s since we're now using index.html in the welcome file list.

<p>John Powell is President and CEO of Alfresco and has 25 years of enterprise software sales and operations experience.</p>
<p>Prior to Alfresco, John was responsible for running worldwide operations at Business Objects&reg;. During his tenure, Business Objects grew at 50% per annum to $415m and a market capitalisation in excess of $6B. Powell founded Business Objects UK in 1991, and built the UK organization and then the global organization into the most successful Business Intelligence player worldwide.</p>
<p>Prior to joining Business Objects, Powell worked in sales management positions at Oracle&reg; and Comshare&reg;. He has a BS First Class from Birmingham University.</p>

<p>John Newton, CTO and Chairman, has had one of the longest and most influential careers in content management. In 1990, John co-founded, designed and led the development of Documentum&reg;, the leader in content management recently acquired by EMC&reg;.</p>
<p>For the next ten years, he invented many of the concepts widely used in the industry today. In addition, he built Documentum's marketing and professional services organizations in Europe. John has also been an Entrepreneur-in-Residence at Benchmark Capital.</p>
<p>John was one of the founding engineers at Ingres&reg; where he helped develop the world's first commercial relational database. John graduated with a BS in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from the University of California at Berkeley.</p>

<p>Dr Ian Howells is Chief Marketing Officer of Alfresco and has 20 years of enterprise software marketing experience in the fields of content management, service oriented architectures and relational database systems.</p>
<p>Prior to Alfresco, Ian was responsible for initially running European marketing and then worldwide marketing at SeeBeyond&reg;. During his tenure Europe grew from $6m to $69m per annum in 4 years and global revenue grew in one year from $137m to $163m. Ian also has a long history in content management. He was the first employee of Documentum&reg; in Europe and held various technical and marketing roles in the 7 years he was there. In this time Documentum grew from a start-up to a $200m per annum company.</p>
<p>Prior to this Ian worked in marketing and technical positions at Ingres&reg;. Ian has a BA in Computing and Statistics and a PhD in Distributed Databases from University College Cardiff.</p>

<p>Matt Asay has been involved with open source since 1998, and is one of the industry's leading open source business strategists. Asay currently manages sales and business development activities in the Americas for Alfresco, the open source leader in Enterprise Content Management.</p>
<p>Prior to Alfresco, Asay co-founded Novell&reg;'s Linux Business Office in 2002 and was an early agitator and architect for the company's shift to open source. In 2003 Asay founded the Open Source Business Conference, the industry's premier open source strategy event, and has served as an Entreprenuer-in-Residence for Thomas Weisel Venture Partners, focusing on open source investment opportunities. Before Novell, Asay was General Manager at Lineo&reg;, an embedded Linux software startup, where he ran Lineo's Residential Gateway business.</p>
<p>Asay earned his Juris Doctorate degree at Stanford Law School, spending two of his three years studying software licensing and innovation, and specifically the GNU General Public License, under Professor Larry Lessig. He also holds Masters and Bachelors degrees from the University of Kent (Canterbury, UK) and Brigham Young University, respectively.</p>

<p>Kevin Cochrane joins Alfresco from Interwoven&reg;, where he was VP of Web Content
Management responsible for Interwoven's WCM platform, TeamSite&reg;. Kevin was the
fourth employee and first business hire at Interwoven and was responsible for
product strategy and product definition of Interwoven's initial product
offerings, TeamSite and OpenDeploy&reg;, since the start of development.</p>
<p>While at
Interwoven, Kevin worked closely building and supporting Interwoven's worldwide
customer base and bringing to market key extensions to Interwoven's base WCM
platform, including Interwoven's MetaTagger&reg;, MediaBin&reg;, and LiveSite&reg; products.</p>
<p>Kevin joins Alfresco to build world-class, standards-based, easy-to-use web
content management services atop the Alfresco platfom. Kevin is lives and
breathes web content management and looks forward to working with the Alfresco
community on Alfresco's WCM roadmap.</p>

<p>Dr Paul Holmes-Higgin has a track record of working with major companies, such as IBM&reg;, ICL&reg;, Olivetti&reg;, Siemens&reg;, Ford&reg;, Mercedes Benz&reg;, Resumix&reg; and most recently Documentum&reg;, to realize advanced technology solutions to real world problems.</p>
<p>His expertise covers Knowledge-based Expert Systems, Neural Networks, Information Extraction and Multilingual Natural Language Processing. As well as generating innovative solutions, Paul has extensive experience of rolling them out as corporate production systems.</p>
<p>Most recently, Paul has been working with Portal vendors to help them exploit content management within a Web Services context. Paul has PhD in Artificial Intelligence from the University of Surrey.</p>

<p>Martin Musierowicz is the Senior Director of Alliances, responsible for
managing the partner program, recruitment of new partners and ensuring the
success of Alfresco's current partners and OEMs.</p>
<p>Martin joins Alfresco with over 7 years of open source experience including
positions with JBoss&reg;, IBM&reg;, Sequent&reg; Computers and an advisory position at the
Open Source Development Lab (OSDL). Prior to Alfresco, Martin was responsible
for partner business development and marketing at JBoss, Inc. where he created
the JBoss Certified Partner Program and grew the partner network from its
infancy to well over 150 partners. At IBM, Martin was part of IBM's entry into
Linux and managed open source solutions for the telecommunications
vertical.</p>
<p>Martin holds a B.S. in molecular biology and an M.B.A. with a concentration
in technology management.</p>

<p>Luis Sala is Alfresco's Director of Solutions Engineering, responsible for
technical account management, training, customer service, and anything else that
might come up.</p>
<p>Luis's previous experience includes being Chief Solutions Architect at
Epicentric&reg; which was acquired by Vignette&reg; where he served as Principal Sales
Engineer. Most recently, Luis was the Business Development SE at Systinet&reg; (now
Mercury&trade;).</p>
<p>Luis has a degree in Computer Science and a minor in Theater from Allegheny
College in Meadville, PA.</p>

<p>David Caruana is an experienced and innovative software architect who has been developing high profile software products for over 10 years.</p>
<p>David was designated Documentum's employee of the year for his work on Documentum's Web Development Kit and Webtop version 5. David also designed Documentum&reg; iTeam&trade;, team collaboration and knowledge management software.</p>
<p>Prior to Documentum, David was a principal engineer at Oracle&reg; working as an architect on CASE and repository tools. David's expertise covers J2EE, enterprise systems, UML/CASE tool development and meta-data repositories and has used this to produce a wide range of successful corporate solutions and developer SDK's.</p>

<p>Will Abson has been involved in software development across a diverse range
of platforms including Java, PHP, Perl and Python. Will's
interests lie primarily in web and open source technologies and he is
experienced in integrating varied systems within a web-based framework.</p>
<p>Will has worked in a number of different environments across the finance, higher
education and government sectors. Prior to joining Alfresco in December 2005
Will worked in a number of different roles at the University of Warwick where he
had previously gained a MEng degree in Computer Systems Engineering.</p>

<p>Linton Baddeley has worked in User Interface Design for over 9 years, specialising in Interaction and Visual Design and Usability.</p>
<p>Linton started his career at Reuters&reg; Usability Lab designing web based services and has gone on to work with companies including AOL&reg;, Symbian&reg;, Motorola&reg; and most recently Liquent&reg; (formerly CDC Solutions).</p>
<p>Linton has a BA Hons in Visual Design and Communication from Ravensbourne College of Design and Communication and has lectured on the Interaction Design course at Ravensbourne and is the current course advisor.</p>

<p>Gavin Cornwell has been involved with enterprise and web development projects for 9 years.</p>
<p>Gavin was a lead developer on Documentum&reg;'s Web Development Kit versions 4 and 5 providing an industry benchmark for Java-based web content management toolkits. Gavin has worked both in Documentum's US and UK development organizations.</p>
<p>Prior to Documentum, Gavin worked on Ford&reg;'s initial pan-European web sites. Gavin has a BSc in Computer Science from the University of Brighton.</p>

<p>Jon Cox was a principal engineer at Interwoven&reg; for 7 years. He designed and
built its object-versioning IPC infrastructure, templating system, and
HTTP-based repository virtualization.</p>
<p>Prior to joining Interwoven Jon was a founding developer at Idealab!, a
senior instructor and technical editor for Addision Wesley, and a principal
engineer at Eastman Kodak.</p>

<p>Dr Andrew Hind has used Java since it first appeared working on financial management and process control systems. Andy has been working on commercial systems since 2000 developing mission-critical J2EE applications for the financial sector, including application infrastructures for corporate actions and product information.</p>
<p>Prior to professional software development, Andy was a chemical engineer with interests and experience in process simulation, process intensification, optimisation, control, and image analysis. As the process engineering program manager at Brewing Research International he worked with many brewing, malting and drinks companies such as Bass, Heineken and Briggs.</p>
<p>Andy taught at Edinburgh University where he received his PhD in Fluid Mechanics and graduated with a BA First Class from the University of Cambridge.</p>

<p>Derek Hulley has been developing in Java, focusing on server side development, for over six years. Derek has applied this experience on mission-critical development on real-time and market data systems. Derek particularly enjoys working on performance-intensive systems. Derek also has extensive experience within the Asset Management industry.</p>
<p>Derek started professional life as a Mechanical Engineer in South Africa but soon moved over to C++ development working in Cape Town. Derek has an MSc and BSc in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Cape Town.</p>

<p>Dr. Britt Park was a lead engineer in the core server team responsible for
the design and implementation of Interwoven&reg; OpenDeploy&reg;, the design
and implementation of Interwoven's workflow enactment engine, and many
improvements in the performance and scalability of Interwoven's core
TeamSite&reg; server.</p>
<p>Prior to Interwoven, Britt worked for Molecular
Applications Group, a provider of Molecular Modeling software for the
pharmaceutical industry. Britt holds a PhD in Structural Biology from
Stanford University, but has been programming since he first met a PDP-8 when
he was in 5th grade.</p>

<p>Steve Rigby is Alfresco's QA manager, and has been breaking applications for around 9 years. He has been involved with the QA of many types of software including SAP&reg; integrations, Microsoft&reg; .Net client-server applications for financial markets and a variety of J2EE applications.</p>
<p>Prior to joining Alfresco Steve worked at Documentum&reg; for over 3 years and during his time there he was the lead QA engineer for Documentum's latest generation of Web Development Kit (WDK 5.0) and Webtop 5.0, as well as spending quality testing time with their portal and iTeam&trade; products.</p>

<p>Kevin Roast has been developing software for 8 years and J2EE and Enterprise applications for over 6 years. His development experience ranges from customer facing kiosk applications to enterprise-scale application platforms and user interfaces based on innovative technology.</p>
<p>A lead developer and thought leader on Documentum WDK 5 and responsible for significant areas of the Documentum&reg; WebTop&trade; application platform. Kevin has strong experience in performance tuning multi-user applications and J2EE application servers.</p>
<p>He has a keen interest in user-interface design and implementations. Kevin is also an active contributor to various open source projects.</p>

<p>Gary Spencer is the founder of JLan, the only Java implementation of the Common Internet File System (CIFS) protocol, which allows Alfresco to present a shared file drive interface to the repository and provide Microsoft&reg; file system compatibility.</p>
<p>Gary also designed NFS and FTP compatibility and a CIFS client as part of the JLan system. As Gary joined Alfresco, he has made this code available as open source in the Alfresco system.</p>
<p>Gary has 20 years of system development experience and has been doing Java development since it first appeared. He has developed network management software, performance and monitoring systems, and network drivers as well as application software and real-time systems.</p>

<p>Roy Wetherall has been involved in the development of leading edge software solutions for over 8 years. His content management experience includes being lead developer of the first generation of Documentum&reg;'s content management Portlets and Portlet Development Kit, also contributing to WDK 5.</p>
<p>His areas of expertise include J2EE and .Net development, with significant experience of Microsoft&reg; Office integration.</p>
<p>Roy has worked for a wide variety of different clients throughout his career including the BBC and American Express&reg;. Roy has a BS in Computer Science and Mathematics from the University of Bristol.</p>
